Bang! A gaping hole burst open in a Twin Stars frigate, and a cyan figure shot out amid a shower of steel fragments!
Whoosh! The cyan figure turned and swept its arm, unleashing a deep-blue arc more than ten meters long. It plunged straight into the breach the figure had just smashed open, tore through everything in its path, and pierced the thick hull to emerge from the other side.
With its interior already devastated, the Twin Stars Warships finally succumbed to the damage. Two thunderous secondary explosions turned it into fireworks in space.
Meanwhile, the cyan figure shed the smoke clinging to it, slowly revealing its true form... a strangely designed Mecha!
The Mecha looked somewhat like Anubis, the god of death from ancient Egyptian mythology. It had a jackal's head, a human body, and rather narrow shoulders. Its streamlined contours possessed an indescribable, brutal beauty.
Its primary weapons were a pair of crescent-shaped blades mounted on its forearms. The energy patterns etched into them glowed faintly, lending the entire Mecha an air of mystery.
After destroying the Twin Stars frigate, the cyan Mecha abruptly generated a fan-shaped shock force field behind itself with a bang! It deflected the fragments coming from behind, while the tremendous thrust it produced sent the Mecha accelerating toward another nearby Twin Stars Warships!
The Mecha had no obvious propulsion system, only a slight bulge on its back and four openings of unknown purpose on either side of its spine. Its burst of acceleration seemed to have come from these mysterious mechanisms.
At that moment, two Wanderers moved into the cyan Mecha's path, poised to block it.
Unfortunately, a few phantomlike zigzag maneuvers were all the cyan Mecha needed to evade their intercepting attacks.
