In a vast, not particularly dense black forest, lean black beasts occasionally darted through the trees. They were the ferocious beasts that lived in this forest.
To survive here, even the weakest beasts had to have bodies as strong as Star Level. Otherwise, they wouldn't last a day in the forest.
Their lean frames made them quick and nimble, and easy to conceal. Every one of them was a skilled hunter.
But even these formidable hunters—and even the strongest beast in the forest, whose body had reached Domain Lord Level—dared not trespass in one forbidden area.
At the very center of the forest stood a ruined Temple covering more than a thousand square kilometers. It constantly gave off an oppressive aura, keeping the beasts from going anywhere near it.
The Temple was built entirely from a gleaming, pitch-black material, with no sign that anything else had been used.
Though it was in ruins, every broken section still looked as if it had only just been damaged. The snapped edges and cracks seemed brand-new, without a trace of time's passage.
A ghostly blue figure appeared out of nowhere atop the ruined Temple's surrounding wall. It was Luo Zhiyuan, who had flown all the way here.
"Bulieni, scan the Temple and see if there are any guardians inside," Luo Zhiyuan said in his Consciousness Ocean.
Bulieni replied in a dissatisfied voice, "I've scanned it. This damn Temple is filled with several interwoven kinds of Immortal God Force, probably left behind from the battle back then."
"Your Large Detector can't scan it in enough detail. It can only make out the layout of the buildings; it can't probe inside them."
"Only your small Detector can just barely distinguish what's inside the buildings, but its range is limited to a radius of twenty kilometers."
