A short human, barely a meter tall, cautiously kept watch on his surroundings. He was a member of the Yanku Race, and he controlled a Telekinetic Weapon that formed three small shields, slowly circling around him.
Suddenly, his Spiritual Force detected something strange. Behind him, a Martial Artist who had been holding a Giant Axe had silently collapsed, dead. The Yanku hurriedly sent the three small shields spinning at high speed.
The Yanku quickly turned around and looked in every direction. He spotted nothing unusual in front of him or to either side.
Many humans were still on guard. Quite a few had noticed his strange behavior and followed suit, taking defensive measures.
But when he looked behind him, his eyes went wide, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead.
Dozens, even hundreds, of people had fallen across a vast area behind him. Every one of them had died just as silently as the person he had first noticed.
He looked farther into the distance and saw a figure hovering about a hundred meters above the ground, ten kilometers away. Beyond that figure, more humans lay on the ground within a ten-kilometer radius.
Could... could that person have killed them all?
Killing people without a sound—that had to be the work of an Illusionist.
But as a ninth-level Star Level Controller, in this high-gravity environment his Spiritual Force could reach less than eight hundred meters. How had the other person managed to cover a ten-kilometer radius with theirs?
Damn... What a terrifying Illusionist!
The humans who had been watching the Yanku followed his gaze and spotted the lone figure hovering in the air. They also noticed the ten-kilometer-wide zone of death.
Everyone, including the Yanku, moved away from where they stood, heading in the opposite direction from the death zone.
