Background / History

Bulieni was the longtime companion of the Light Beast God Chenxi, whom he affectionately and dismissively calls the “Old Mystic” or “old charlatan.” Chenxi once acquired an Evolution Heart from a Machine Race opponent and used it to create Bulieni a body, enabling the intelligent lifeform to cultivate. Bulieni eventually became an Immortal, then a Universe Venerable and Universe Overlord-level existence; he also states that he once led a Machine Empire. 35 196

While exploring a universe secret realm alone, Bulieni encountered a life-threatening danger. Chenxi arrived after foreseeing the crisis and preserved only part of Bulieni's divine body and consciousness. Chenxi then sealed the damaged divine body in the World Ring, while Bulieni's consciousness survived within an auxiliary light brain through an extremely rare treasure. The prolonged sealing prevented his divine body from restoring itself effectively. 35

Luo Zhiyuan releases Bulieni from Chenxi's World Ring on Venus. Initially enraged, Bulieni becomes grief-stricken after learning that Chenxi has died. He nevertheless accepts Luo Zhiyuan as Chenxi's successor and begins arranging his cultivation, treasure use, combat training, and future path. 16 18

Chenxi later leaves teaching materials specifically intended to help Bulieni become a qualified teacher for Luo Zhiyuan. Bulieni continues this responsibility, researching techniques, planning training regimes, and safeguarding Chenxi's legacy. 26

Bulieni normally appears in the Virtual Universe as a shrunken, ordinary-looking Earth youth with pure white eyes. He deliberately chose a humanlike appearance because he considered it more intimate and less boring than an unusual form. 18
