Orochimaru laughed as she spoke of something truly terrifying, her red tongue slipping out of her mouth to lick her lips.
"Oh."
Fuyuki's reaction was completely flat, as if to say, That's it? Don't you have anything more exciting?
The shock, rage, and scolding Orochimaru had expected never came, leaving her a little disappointed. "You're not planning to sneak off to the Hokage Office Building and report me, are you?"
"No. I'm not interested in this. But if you plan to go after the Third, I'll just say this: you'd better watch out for the Reaper Death Seal. The old Third has a trump card that lets him trade his life for his opponent's." Fuyuki didn't bother explaining anything to Orochimaru, instead changing the subject. "Since you have your own plan, why come to me?"
Orochimaru launching the Konoha Crush Plan was only to be expected.
In Orochimaru's own words, she liked watching things move. Whenever she saw something that didn't move, she found it terribly boring.
Konoha was undoubtedly a pool of stagnant water, an eyesore to Orochimaru. She wanted to become a gust of wind and send ripples across its placid surface. Besides, without the Third, Konoha would enter a period of weakness.
At that point, another Ninja World War might break out, forcing Konoha into a corner and making it certain to unseal its forbidden techniques.
"I just thought you might be interested in my plan, Fuyuki, so I stopped by to ask. I didn't expect you to have no interest in taking part."
Orochimaru wore a rueful expression. "If you and I worked together, wiping out the Konoha High Command wouldn't be impossible. The Hokage Position might even go to the Hyuga Clan. After all, the Hyuga Clan has always had considerable
