As the green light continued to condense, the vines, each a hundred zhang thick, lost their original emerald hue and turned the color of dead wood.
The vines withered visibly, as though all their life force had been drawn out and poured into that single point of green light.
In moments.
Of the vines that blotted out the sky, only the one bearing Yu Xin's human face had not withered. All the others had died away.
Dead branches and leaves drifted down on the wind like a rain of death, and an air of decay and extinction filled the world.
And on the bow.
An emerald arrow, almost solid, rested against the bowstring.
Fine black cracks kept forming around it. They spread like a spiderweb, slicing the surrounding space to pieces.
The great bow seemed unable to bear the force. It trembled ceaselessly, fine cracks appearing along its frame with sharp cracking sounds.
"Die!"
Yu Xin, now fused with the vine, let out a beastlike roar.
Her voice exploded from the vine's enormous mouth, hoarse, shrill, and frenzied, carrying the resolve to perish along with her enemy.
The arrow shot forth.
Dragging long black rifts behind it, it hurtled straight at Jiang Tian like an emerald dragon tearing heaven and earth apart, bearing the power to destroy them both!
Space shattered inch by inch in the arrow's wake. Black rifts followed it like shadows, as though heaven and earth themselves could not withstand its power.
Jiang Tian swung his sword.
"I have a sword... Sever Heaven and Earth!"
A sword beam with form but no color flashed from the blade.
The beam was dozens of zhang long and lingered within the sword formation for an instant.
Pure white sword light and Profound-White Sword Astral Force... all poured into it.
