Sorry, Let Me Rest One More Day

I'd been sitting in front of the computer all night, yet I couldn't write a single word. I'd clearly already thought out the subsequent plot, but I just couldn't get any words down. My head simply hurt.

It was the New Year, and people's minds had scattered. I'd played a little too hard. I'm truly sorry, everyone.

The Yuan Race side story was actually only meant to be around twenty chapters, serving as a transitional arc. Its main purpose was to give characters other than Wang Qi some closure, while also recreating the process of a Nobel Prize-level discovery—one of the few purely academic storylines in the later great interstellar development arc, apart from mathematics and physics. There wasn't supposed to be any major turmoil on the Yuan Race's side, either. I'd originally intended it to be just a small interlude during the New Year period. But it seemed I'd messed it up. Several consecutive days of staying up late had knocked me flat. I updated too slowly, and even a plot that wasn't dragging had started to drag.

I'm really sorry.
