Among the courses arranged by the academy, Essence of Spiritual Qi began in July. Law, Martial Arts and Calculation was taught in early September.
Essence of Spiritual Qi described the inherent properties of spiritual qi from the perspective of the essence of matter, completely turning spiritual qi into physical quantities that could be analyzed.
Law, Martial Arts and Calculation, meanwhile, taught how to dissect spells and martial techniques with mathematics. All spells could be abstracted into geometric figures, while every movement and technique in martial arts had a corresponding formula.
As long as one mastered both, even low-level cultivators could construct new spells and martial techniques on their own!
Starting around March or April, the academy had also taught basic martial arts for half a day every day. By August, after most disciples had opened their Heavenly Pass and advanced to Qi Refining, they began learning a series of things called "simple spells."
