Sorry, everyone. By convention, the end-of-volume reflections should have been posted last night... But then again, I originally hadn't planned to take leave at all—I was going to jump straight into writing Volume Eight.
But a chain of unexpected incidents cropped up and delayed things a little, so I had no choice but to post a leave request.
In Volume Six, Wang Qi's strength underwent a qualitative transformation, and he openly activated cheat mode. That let him soar directly into the skies in Volume Seven. So far, he had already aided several waves of interstellar refugees and smashed quite a few satellites.
A cause for celebration, a cause for celebration.
In this stretch of the story, I tried for the first time to describe aliens' physiology, psychology, culture, and local customs. This was probably something accumulated through my long years of reading. Being able to weave the imaginings from my spare time into this story felt pretty great.
Personally, I just liked grand scenes like this.
But while writing grand scenes and enjoying myself, I enjoyed myself right into trouble. At the end of Volume Seven, there had originally been a deduction plotline: the story of the Dragon Clan unraveling some of the mysteries of the hills. But I naturally wrote the Dragon Emperor's command, and right after that came the Dragon Clan father awakening event that I had planned for so long—so I forgot all about the deduction stuff!
That left some unresolved loose ends in the hills section...
And that made the beginning of Volume Eight not especially smooth to write...
Add in a few personal matters, and things got delayed.
Please allow me to adjust the outline today and find a way to tie up those loose ends within a single chapter...
Tomorrow, I'll begin updating Volume
