Speculation

Isotopic half-lives were an immensely complex and vast subject.

Or rather, isotopes themselves were a vast subject.

Each of the 118 known elements had several isotopes—though that was a discovery of the Aura Universe.

In this universe, every element had several times, or even dozens of times, as many isotopes as in the Aura Universe.

Of course, that was nothing. In truth, the revolutionary Zero Element [usually written in the human script of Divine Province as (zero aura)] seemed to show that, so long as aura was abundant enough, one element could have infinitely many isotopes.

In fact, Zero Element seemed to be an element with "infinitely many isotopes." In recent years, the most frequently debated question at Burning Gold Valley had been whether "an element composed of three neutrons and an element composed of five neutrons were truly the same element." Was Zero Element "an element with an extraordinary number of isotopes," or "a family of different kinds of elements"?

Of course, this was merely a matter of human definitions and did not affect the facts of the universe. Humanity debated it only in the hope of confining "truth" within the system called "science," through which predecessors could completely pass on their thoughts and discoveries to later generations.

In truth, most isotopes that could exist only in high-aura environments, or elements unique to such environments, would immediately decay or even directly undergo fission when placed in a Yuan Spirit environment.

Therefore, discussing the half-life of an isotope really meant discussing a point between "the lowest-aura environment in which this isotope could exist" and "the highest-aura environment in which this elemental isotope could remain stable."

Once the background aura reached a certain level, isotopes that had originally existed in low-aura environments would not only cease decaying, but actively absorb neutrons
