Although structures such as levers and inclined planes were universal throughout the cosmos, the vastly different physiological conditions of different races meant that everyday objects could likewise differ as greatly as heaven and earth.

Nail clippers were tools designed on the principle of the lever. But for a species without a hard keratin layer, it would be difficult to understand why such a thing needed to exist.

Wang Qi poked at them with his hand. These artifacts felt "heavy." Not heavy in the gravitational sense; rather, some invisible force bound them in place, preventing them from leaving the whole.
