Those were countless illusions.
A mass of Black Mist, like a spear, crashed into a celestial body.
A mass of Black Mist poured from the gates of the Immortal Path, half descending toward a rocky planet, half toward a satellite.
A mass of Black Mist was swept into the atmosphere of a gas giant. The black substance spread along the gale, staining the entire planet black within a limited span of time.
A mass of Black Mist slowly spread across a red giant like an ink wash.
A mass of Black Mist transformed into countless spear-like magical artifacts and stabbed toward a neutron star.
A mass of Black Mist raced through the nebula at the center of a galaxy at near-light speed, carried alongside a black hole jet.
And then there were countless plagues.
They were countless species.
Arthropods, mollusks, crustaceans, mammals, plants, fungi, crystalline lifeforms...
So many living things.
Yet they had all fallen ill.
With the same disease.
That was utterly absurd.
Even a virus could not possibly sweep through an entire biosphere—in Divine Land, infections crossing classes or phyla were not unheard of, but crossing realms was already horrifying.
Crossing biospheres was even more terrifying.
Of course, crossing one or two biospheres was still possible.
When an alien virus spread across biospheres, there was a high chance it would fail entirely. But once it succeeded, it became a dangerous virus for which no antibodies existed.
Yet even so, no virus could spread across so many biospheres.
It had even crossed chirality, crossed the material foundations that formed the roots of bloodlines.
This virus itself could mutate rapidly and adapt.
More terrifying still...
