Gods and dragons slaughtered one another.

After the Holy Emperor spared no expense of divine power, several gods built for battle had bodies as vast as mountains. The Great Wilderness God was savage, Chang Sheng Tian lofty and remote, the True God of Pure Blessing mysterious, Tianjiang vast and mighty, Kunlun ancient... All manner of distinct auras crisscrossed and entwined, weaving together eighty thousand years of faith accumulated by the humans of the God Continent, eighty thousand years of Human Dao essence.

The dragons Mi had conjured with the Tengling Mystery Art were no less formidable than the gods created by the Holy Emperor. Spiritual bodies several miles long wound through the air, their martial way resembling true dragons as they crashed headlong into the defensive line woven by the gods in the most direct and savage fashion.

It was as though the power of heaven and earth, of all living things, collided with the power of Human Dao civilization, sounding the strongest possible note.

The enormous spiritual bodies that had suddenly appeared actually blocked out the sunlight like mountain ranges. The mortals on Linghuang Island stared in terror at the "sheer cliff" that had abruptly risen several miles away, their hearts pounding in fear.

Some of the seawater splashed up by the aftershocks of their battle occasionally shot thousands of zhang into the sky, crossing the defensive line formed by divine power, crossing that suddenly appearing "mountain range," and falling onto Linghuang Island.
