The potion sequences' deadly trap

Edwin slowly lowered the Desert Eagle, smoke still curling from its barrel, and looked at the three corpses.

A faint glow began to emerge from the three bodies, now devoid of any signs of life.

The light came not from outside, but seeped out from within them, as though something were breaking free of the confines of flesh and blood. Finally, three utterly different Beyonder Characteristics, each imbued with an eerie power, floated exposed in the air. "So that's how it works..."

Edwin murmured to himself, a glimmer of understanding in his eyes.

These were the "Beyonder Characteristics" that Horamick's intelligence had mentioned—the things that separated from Beyonders after their deaths.
