a short-haired figure with spiky hair emerged from the Gate of Crossing.

Isshin Shiba looked at Nara Dan sitting on the ground and the others lying nearby as he spoke.

"Without Captain Shiba's help..."
"We wouldn't have been able to return to the Soul Society."
Nara Dan replied.

Isshin Shiba frowned as he surveyed the human city, which had been almost completely razed to the ground.
He couldn't imagine how brutal the battle that had taken place here must have been.
Seeing this, Nara Dan naturally recounted everything that had happened with Ox-Head Hollow after the Graduation Exam.
As for his deal with Kisuke Urahara, he simply left that part out.
Instead, Nara Dan claimed that the man in the green hat had Shunpoed in on his own, taken away the Ox-Head Humanoid Hollow's corpse, and knocked out Tōshirō Hitsugaya and the other three.
But telling it that way would easily lead people to suspect that this Humanoid Hollow incident was another part of Kisuke Urahara's ongoing Hollowfication Experiment.
After all, it would otherwise be hard to explain the missing corpse and Kisuke Urahara's suspicious behavior.
