Before Gin Ichimaru could react, Retsu Unohana had already sheathed her sword and headed straight for the deeper reaches of Las Noches.
Gin Ichimaru glanced at Zomari's lifeless body, then at Retsu Unohana's disheveled figure as she walked away. A chill ran through him.
You really were unlucky to run into this woman.
No one had expected the fastest Arrancar to be the first to die in battle. It had taken just one slash to end his life.
Gin Ichimaru didn't dare linger, either. If the woman ahead of him misunderstood something and struck him down, he had no confidence he'd survive.
Besides, she had also mastered Nara Dan's Swordsmanship.
As their footsteps faded, the two of them ventured deeper into Las Noches.
The fighting inside Las Noches was going smoothly,
but far away from the palace, out on the sandy plain, Kira Izuru and Renji Abarai were faring poorly.
"Renji Abarai, are you holding up?"
Kira Izuru nimbly dodged the Giant Insect Hollow's charge,
and called over to Renji Abarai beside him.
Renji Abarai's shihakusho was torn, and blood stained the corner of his mouth. Compared to Kira Izuru, he looked considerably worse for wear.
Ever since Kira Izuru had gained a Yang Release-enhanced body, his speed and reflexes had become exceptional. He could easily dodge the Giant Insect Hollow's attacks.
Renji Abarai's reactions weren't as quick, though, and he had once been clipped by the Giant Insect
