Konoha, in a certain courtyard.
Nii Yugito sat beneath a tree, leaning against its trunk,
tearing leaf after leaf in half out of boredom.
"Konoha..."
Nii Yugito ripped the leaf apart with a sharp tug, as if venting her resentment toward Konoha.
It was because of Konoha that she had gone from being a respected Jinchuriki in Kumogakure to a prisoner.
Every day, she had nothing to do and was confined to this courtyard, forbidden to come and go freely.
Anbu Ninja were packed all around her, keeping the Jinchuriki under close surveillance.
After venting for a while, Yugito leaned helplessly against the trunk again, her expression downcast.
"But if I weren't in Konoha, where could I go...?"
Yugito's delicate, fair face was clouded with conflicting emotions.
Though the boredom of life in Konoha had begun to fray her nerves, Yugito had little desire to return to Kumogakure.
As a Jinchuriki who had experienced countless shifts in people's attitudes from a young age, Yugito wasn't some naive innocent.
She knew full well that though she hadn't been mostly to blame for losing control and rampaging in Kumogakure, the ignorant and cowardly villagers wouldn't care about that.
They needed an outlet for their fear and anger, and the direct cause of Kumogakure's losses—the Two-Tails, or rather, its Jinchuriki—was the perfect target.
If Yugito returned, she would face endless cold stares and mockery, perhaps even people laying hands on her.
The Fourth Raikage couldn't intervene in that, either. It was just like Naruto's situation after the Nine-Tails Rebellion.
So many people had died in the village, and the immense resentment couldn't simply be suppressed. The Third Hokage could only turn a blind eye.
Or perhaps the Fourth Raikage couldn't help feeling resentment over the destruction Yugito had caused when she lost control.
