Somewhere in the Land of Fields,
Jiraiya stepped onto the land,
and gazed at the palace buildings faintly visible ahead. He thought,
"So this is Hiruko's lair."
After leaving Konoha, Jiraiya had followed Hiruko north. At last, Hiruko had stopped here.
Clearly, this was Hiruko's lair.
"Then let's end this here."
Jiraiya's expression was resolute. Beyond Sarutobi Hiruzen's orders, everything Hiruko had done along the way had deeply unsettled him,
and Jiraiya had made up his mind to bring his old friend to justice!
He hadn't gone much farther when a rush of wind howled overhead.
Jiraiya looked up. A strange-looking creature was circling in the sky.
It was not only a giant bird; it also had the features of a two-headed snake and a dog. It looked utterly terrifying.
"A product of a forbidden technique."
"It completely defies the laws of life..."
Jiraiya narrowed his eyes.
The flying Two-Headed Monster Bird seemed to notice Jiraiya's presence. It immediately dove, the two-headed snake on its tail hissing as it rushed toward him!
Earth Release: Earth Flow Spears!
Jiraiya formed Hand Seals at great speed. The earth transformed into sharp spears, which sliced through the air in an instant.
The earthen spears met the diving Two-Headed Monster Bird. It dodged some of them, but the rest pierced straight through the snake heads on its two heads.
Feeling the pain, the Two-Headed Monster Bird cried out with all its heads, letting out a strange, ear-piercing screech!
As it shrieked, its feathers fell away, showering the ground like rain.
Then, to Jiraiya's surprise, the snake heads rapidly regenerated, fully restored in the blink of an eye.
"This looks like it could be tricky."
Jiraiya formed Hand Seals. Now that he understood the monster's capabilities, he had countless ways to finish it off.
Boom!
