They were terrified the battle between the two humanoid monsters at the island's center would catch them in its wake.

Sarutobi Hiruzen wasn't wearing the Immortal Dragon King. He fought with his bare body, repeatedly using Light Release to accelerate,
Though he couldn't reach the terrifying speeds of dozens of times the speed of sound, he was still incredibly fast, reaching ten times the speed of sound.
His opponent had white hair, wore glasses, and carried a long sword.
He was none other than the Pirate King's right hand, Dark King Rayleigh.
Rayleigh's eyes shifted as his Observation Haki sensed the attack, and he vanished from his spot a split second beforehand.
With a thunderous boom, the ground burst apart, leaving a massive crater.
"You're fast."
"The force generated by your acceleration is nearly on par with Yellow Monkey's light abilities..."
"But your physique is inferior, and you can't become elemental."
"The pause in your body caused by the recoil after you attack is a fatal opening!"
The long blade in Rayleigh's hand swept through the air in a white arc and slashed hard across Sarutobi Hiruzen's body!
But it rang out with a metallic clang.
Sarutobi Hiruzen had covered half his body in Armament Haki, pure black with a hint of blue, and taken Rayleigh's attack head-on.
"You don't need to tell me!"
"I know that!"
"But as long as I'm tough enough, what does it matter if you hit me?!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen didn't care in the slightest. He unleashed his Armament Haki and let it spread over his entire body.
