Starting at midnight tomorrow, Chen Zhao's livestream would be featured prominently on the Dou Panda platform. At the same time, several gaming streamers' rooms would be featured alongside his. Lots of users would click in, and if they liked what they saw, they'd follow the streamer.
The livestreams would stay in the recommendation slots for three days. Afterward, the platform would tally the numbers and compare the streamers.
There were two main metrics: first, follower growth; second, the viewer-to-follower conversion rate.
Follower growth was easy to understand: it meant how many followers you gained over those three days. For example, if you had one hundred thousand followers before and one million afterward, you'd have gained nine hundred thousand.
The viewer-to-follower conversion rate meant how many of the viewers who entered your livestream followed you.
For example, if one hundred people entered your livestream, and after watching for a while, thirty followed you while the rest left without following, your conversion rate would be 30%.
If ten people entered your livestream and nine followed you after watching for a bit, your conversion rate would be as high as 90%.
