Three submachine guns were aimed at the door. Number Five gripped a pistol in one hand and opened the door with the other.

Outside stood the international student responsible for assisting them, his face tense with panic.

"There's a police car on the street. It arrived five minutes ago and parked under a tree at the intersection. Be careful," the student said.

The people in the room exchanged looks and came to the same decision.

"Can we leave now?" Number One asked.

"The train is tomorrow morning. You can't leave now," the student said.

"Can't we change the route?" Number Two asked.

The student fell silent for several seconds. "Wait here."

The door closed, and the four assassins silently looked at one another.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," Number Three said. "The police are on us too tightly. It's like we have trackers on us."

"Don't be so nervous. That police car may have just stopped there," Number Two said.

Another silence followed.

There came another knock at the door. The student stood outside and said they could leave now by taking a coal train. The four assassins asked what a coal train was. The student explained that it was a train that carried coal. One would pass in an hour, and if they hurried over by express route, they could make it. They could jump aboard under cover of darkness, sit on the coal pile, and get off at dawn. The police would never know. The only problem was that hopping trains was dangerous and dirty.

The four assassins immediately packed their things and took the student's sedan out of the residential complex. At the intersection, the sedan passed right by the police car. There were only a few officers inside, speaking into walkie-talkies. No one knew
