Lin Ao was still swiping through Douyin in the hall.

Then he heard a pleasant voice coming from the doorway.

"Mr. Lin, are you there?"

Lin Ao reluctantly got up to open the door. Xia Qiange stood outside with a few other young women, carrying toiletries.

"Mr. Lin, sorry to bother you~ Could we borrow your shower facilities?"

The speaker was Xia Qiange. Their team didn't have enough shower tents, and the line was far too long, so she'd thought to ask if they could use Lin Ao's showers.

Lin Ao thought, They've already brought their toiletries. How could I possibly refuse?

He stepped aside and gestured for them to come in.

Accompanied by laughter like silver bells, a flock of lovely young women streamed inside.

"Mr. Lin is so nice~ And so handsome~"

"That's right, that's right~ Mr. Lin, do you have a girlfriend?"

"You helped us out, Mr. Lin. You can ask me to do one thing as a thank-you~"

Since it was summer, they were all dressed in cool, short-sleeved tops and hot pants.

Lin Ao's villa instantly became a den of spider spirits, with long, pale legs everywhere.

There was one shower in each of the master bedrooms on the first and second floors, plus a shared one on the first floor.

There were four women in all, so Xia Qiange let the others go first.

Only Lin Ao and Xia Qiange remained in the hall. The atmosphere turned awkward for a while.

Lin Ao shifted uneasily. He didn't know whether to stay or leave, and even swiping through Douyin felt uncomfortable.

"Mr. Lin, have you ever heard any of my songs?"

Xia Qiange took the initiative to break the silence. She had to say something to ease the mood. Maybe it was a woman's sixth sense, but she kept feeling that Lin Ao was deliberately keeping his distance from her.

"Uh... no, sorry."

Lin Ao really hadn't heard any of her songs. In fact, he knew nothing about the entertainment industry.

Xia Qiange glanced at him, looking confused.

Xia Qiange smoothed things over to avoid any awkwardness. She thought she saw Lin Ao secretly sigh with relief. Or had she imagined it?

Young masters probably all had their own peculiar habits. She shouldn't pry into other people's private business.

The hall fell silent again... They each went back to doing their own thing.

"Yunyun, I ran into Lin Ao from Lin Corporation Group. He actually built a villa on this remote beach and lives here alone. Isn't that strange?"

When Qin Yun heard her phone chime, a smile tugged at her lips. My darling's in such a hurry to find me? Is he wondering which outfit I'll wear tonight?

Qin Yun had just finished showering and thought it was her darling. When she opened the message, she saw it was Xia Qiange.

Lin Ao's smile never faded, making Xia Qiange wonder what could possibly have the young master of the Lin Family so happy.

Xia Qiange had no idea that her best friend was chatting with her while changing outfits and sending photos to a man. If she knew, she'd probably think the world was about to explode. This was simply too crazy.

Just then, she saw Lin Ao's eyes widen, his face full of disbelief.

Xia Qiange really wasn't being nosy. It was just that Lin Ao's expression made her so curious. She'd never been this curious about what someone else was looking at, and the suspense was driving her crazy.

Lin Ao stared at the screen as a rush of blood surged up his nose.
