Lin Ao hadn't even reacted when Liu Nian turned and called out to Joanna.

Before Lin Ao could finish, Joanna shot him a glare and leaned closer. A faint, sweet fragrance drifted into his nose.
"Here, call me Anna. I don't want anyone else to know Lulu doesn't have a mother. Right now, I'm her mother, and you're her father. Understand?"
Lin Ao nodded blankly. Liu Nian, Liu Nian, just how much charm did you have? Enough to make Joanna treat you like this.
"Act natural. Don't make anyone suspicious. Also, did you bring the documents I asked you to? Hand them over."
Lin Ao passed her a bag of documents.
"Okay. Stay here and keep Lulu company. I'll go take care of the paperwork."
With that, Joanna left with the documents.
