Throughout the city, there were no houses or towers. In their place stood ancient, solemn temples.
Inside the temples sat clay statues with indistinct features. Countless fine motes of light rose and fell from the Void before slowly drifting into the clay bodies. Vast and ancient chanting resounded one after another without end, reinforcing the Divine City's Dao resonance and stabilizing the city's foundations.
The twenty-four gigantic temples nearest the Divine City's core were the most majestic. They corresponded to the Twenty-Four Heavens Barriers. Each temple radiated a single, pure Great Dao fluctuation, distinct in color and Dao resonance; they complemented one another and formed a complete system of their own.
This was the supreme profundity of the Universe Method: using the world barriers of one's own Inner World as a framework, extracting the essence of all things between heaven and earth as flesh and blood, and forging a supreme Divine City.
The countless battle souls and Xiantian Divine Spirits that had originally lain dormant within the Inner World, not yet fully awakened, had established temples and divine bodies, then all relocated into the Divine City to cultivate while drawing nourishment from the power of the myriad Daos of the greater universe.
