"Where did this brat come from? Get lost!"
The owner of the sword spoke in a frosty voice, utterly not polite.
Following the icy blade with his gaze, Ye Tian saw that the swordsman was tall and powerfully built. His face was that of a Bearded Man, lending him a measure of imposing dignity.
"Just passing through."
Ye Tian's voice was even colder as he merely cast him a sidelong glance.
"Heh, quite the spirited youngster. A newborn calf that feared no tiger! Don't you see whose territory this is? Strutting about so recklessly—are you looking to die?!"
As the Bearded Man spoke, his eyes bulged with rage. His dark face wore a vicious expression as though he wished to devour someone alive.
"Hey, you! What does the grudge between our two sides have to do with an outsider? Using the face of an elder to bully a junior—what kind of ability is that?"
Someone from the opposing camp spoke up, though it was unclear whether he was standing up for justice or deliberately making things difficult for the burly man.
The latter glared at him, but the sword in his hand did not shift in the slightest.
"Move your sword."
Ye Tian frowned.
He hated having a sword pointed at him.
"They're just local thugs and ruined wretches. This grandpa couldn't be bothered with them for fear of getting their stench on me. What are you acting so high and mighty for? Charging into this grudge without a care."
"I said I was just passing through."
Ye Tian chose to yield once more, gliding lightly past without tangling with the burly man.
But seeing his opponent evade so easily, the latter immediately felt he had lost face.
"Today, two parties have dared to disgrace me."
