Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's false body slowly explained the rules of the trial to Ye Tian.
The general idea was that the first checkpoint would test Ye Tian's Buddha nature.
Although the laws of heaven and earth had no sectarian boundaries, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva himself belonged to the Buddhist school. His cultivation methods naturally had, more or less, some connection to Buddhism. Yet those Buddhist teachings differed from Mahayana Buddhism; they belonged instead to the Theravada Buddhism he had founded himself.

No matter how Ye Tian called out, there was not the slightest response.
"This Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva—I have never heard of him before, but judging from the aura of his incarnation, he should be no weakling."
Shen said, "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would not be the slightest bit weaker than you were at your peak."
Ye Tian said mildly.
"Why are you so sure, boy?"
"Because he once said something."
"What?"
"If hell is not emptied, I vow not to become a Buddha."
