Ye Tian's state of mind was still trapped in the Orange Seeking Secret Realm, unable to break free, when the ravines crisscrossing before his eyes drew his attention. The expanse of azure sky seemed to have been forcibly sliced apart by something.
Beneath the blue sky, the mountains rose and fell without a single patch of level ground. The trees stood dozens of feet tall. Ye Tian simply did not believe there were no demonic beasts within them.
However, just as Ye Tian took a few steps forward, a fierce gust rose beside him. After twisting aside to evade it, he saw a massive purple python before him. A bulging cyan fleshy lump sat atop its head, while purple fur swayed in the wind at the tip of its tail.
Its two eyes sat on either side of its triangular head, staring fixedly at Ye Tian as its forked tongue flickered incessantly. Occasionally, it opened its mouth, revealing two curved fangs as drops of saliva fell.
Ye Tian did not move, and neither did the python. After man and serpent stared at each other for a long while, the python opened its jaws and bit at him. Ye Tian swiftly shifted aside, barely dodging the attack, but the python's tail lashed toward him like lightning.
Caught off guard, Ye Tian slid more than thirty feet across the ground before stopping. Pain spread through his body as though he had been torn apart. A humanlike flicker of confusion appeared in the python's eyes. It opened its mouth and spat out a stream of venom. Ye Tian dodged again, but white smoke rose from where he had just stood, accompanied by a hissing sound. Once the smoke dispersed, a shallow pit more than ten feet long appeared in his view.
