"Crack it!?" A man pointed at the enormous tsunami that blotted out the sky and covered the earth, his eyes seeming ready to spit fire as he cursed, "Will you still be alive to crack it!?"
"We already gave you two chances. There cannot be a third. Either throw away 'that thing' now, or jump off yourself and leave this ship. We don't want to die with you!" the old man roared as well.
As soon as those words were spoken, the terror of death in Xie Shu's eyes immediately overwhelmed the pain born of his inner struggle.
"Fine, I'll throw it away! I'll throw it away!" His own life was certainly more important. Xie Shu practically shouted.
He spread open the hands he had kept tightly clasped together, revealing a tiny fish-shaped pattern in his right palm.
Xie Shu's lips moved as he silently recited an incantation. Countless dense runes lit up around the fish pattern, giving off a dim white glow.
The instant that glow appeared, the tsunami behind them visibly grew even more frenzied.
The people around him all revealed expressions of horror.
"Xie Shu, hurry!"
"Stop hesitating!"
Everyone hurriedly shouted at Xie Shu, urging him on.
Xie Shu sighed. The glow in his palm grew richer and richer until it gradually withdrew, and a water sphere the size of a head appeared above his hand, quietly floating there.
Most crucially, within that water sphere was a tiny fish slowly swimming about, identical to the pattern that had just been in Xie Shu's palm.
The little fish was entirely pink, covered in orange wavelike markings. It looked as if it had been carved from transparent pink crystal, sparkling and crystal-clear within the water sphere, incomparably beautiful.
At the same time, the instant the water sphere and little
