Inside the cave dwelling, everything was gray and hazy, as though a layer of mist had risen that blocked one's sight. The woman in white stood at the very center of the fog with her back to him, and it was impossible to tell what she was watching. Her silhouette was exceptionally graceful, her white robes highlighting the exquisite curves of her body.
Yet when the woman gave a soft giggle and slowly turned her head to greet Ye Tian, she revealed half a deathly pale face. The contrast with her scarlet lips was stark. Her stiff, wooden eyes did not even contain a trace of black pupils, and they stared blankly at Ye Tian in a most chilling manner.
Ye Tian calmed his mind and focused his breath, realizing that he might have fallen under some illusion that had caused him to see this eerie ghostly thing.
