The next morning, Houka got up early, rubbing his lower back. He stretched toward the rising sun and immediately felt as if his body had been completely drained.
This had to be an illusion!
I'm not even thirty yet.
Houka was devastated.
Then he sent out a Shadow Clone to make breakfast while he returned to the bedroom to be lovey-dovey with Kurenai Yuhi—or rather, Uchiha Kurenai now. By the time the Shadow Clone had finished breakfast and then lunch, Houka and Kurenai finally emerged from the bedroom.
Kurenai looked exceptionally energetic, her cheeks flushed and her eyes like pools of spring water, utterly captivating.
As for Houka, he was slightly hunched over, feeling as though his body... had been drained dry.
An illusion. This was definitely an illusion!
After finishing their breakfast-lunch, Houka reluctantly waved goodbye to Kurenai and left the mansion.
Houka then met up with Yakushi Kabuto and headed to Uchiha Sasuke's home.
Uchiha Sasuke had already received Uchiha Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan. His eyes were wrapped in white bandages, with faint red blood seeping from the corners.
"Sasuke, how are you feeling?" Houka walked over and asked.
Uchiha Sasuke sat on the wooden veranda, elbows resting on his knees and chin propped in his hands. Hearing this, he replied flatly, "Itachi's Mangekyō is merging with my body. It feels... somewhat different now."
"Although the possibility of rejection is very small, if anything really goes wrong, make sure you tell us." Houka was best at offering little bits of warmth.
"I know." Uchiha Sasuke nodded slightly, then asked, "What do you plan to do after cloning the Eternal Mangekyou?"
"Research it, then find the proper way for the Sharingan to evolve. That way, future descendants of the Uchiha Clan won't slaughter one another because of the Sharingan."
Houka
