After leaving the Hokage Building, Obito looked up at the sun in the sky. It was somewhat dazzling.

He was no longer the simple, hot-blooded idiot he had once been. Especially recently, with the relationship between the clan and the village growing increasingly tense, he did not believe such a coincidental mission would appear at a time like this!

But he had no choice but to accept it.

First, it was a mission assigned by the Hokage. Second, what if the mission was real?

If Minato-sensei were still alive, this would never have happened.

Obito walked down the street with his head lowered, passing through the crowded throng as he headed straight out of the village.

The root ninja following and monitoring him did not notice a Shadow Clone slipping rapidly away through the crowd.

That night, Obito's Shadow Clone secretly slipped into Houka's mansion.

"Obito? Why are you here?" Houka's heart stirred when he saw Obito appear so furtively. "Did something happen?"

Obito's Shadow Clone said, "I don't know whether something happened either, but the original sent me to tell you."

"The original? You're a Shadow Clone?" Houka's brows twitched.

"Yes. This morning, Danzo assigned the original a mission concerning clues to the Tailed Beast rampage eight years ago. The original couldn't refuse and has already left the village," Obito's Shadow Clone said.

Houka immediately caught the strong scent of a conspiracy and asked, "Where do the clues in the intelligence point to?"

"The Land of Rain!" Obito's Shadow Clone said.

Houka's expression changed slightly. "The Land of Rain is extremely dangerous. This must be Danzo's scheme. You absolutely cannot go!"

"But what if it's real?" Obito's Shadow Clone sighed. "If he doesn't investigate it thoroughly, the original won't let it go."

Houka snorted. What a stubborn fool!
