Kakashi Arrives

After taking a Shinra Tensei head-on, even with Kakuzu's immortal body, his brain instantly burst apart, his skull shattered all over the ground, and he lay there for a long while without getting up.

"You lost." Deva Path Pain looked down at Kakuzu from above, his expression calm and his gaze indifferent, as though defeating him had been no different from beating a dog.

Kakuzu lay motionless, looking like, My brain's already blown apart, I'm dead, so don't come bother me.

Yet strangely, despite his brain having burst apart, not a drop of blood flowed out.

"With Earth Grudge Fear, there is no way you would die so easily." Deva Path Pain snorted. "Kakuzu, come back with me!"

He saw through me, damn it!

Kakuzu flew into a rage from humiliation. Countless black tendrils surged wildly from his shattered brain, stitching his broken skull back together. Then he got up as though nothing had happened and stared coldly at Deva Path Pain. "Who exactly are you? What exactly is this power?"

"I am a god who will guide the world toward true peace."

Deva Path Pain said, "God embraces all things. Don't worry, I won't interfere with your money-making."

Kakuzu stared deeply at Deva Path Pain. After pondering for a long time, he finally laughed. "So Akatsuki has someone like you. Looks like I'll have plenty of chances to fight high-bounty targets in the future. Fine, I'll join Akatsuki!"

"Then come with me." Deva Path Pain turned and said.

But Kakuzu laughed. "That won't do."

"Why not?"

"I still have a mission, so I can't go with you for now." Kakuzu wore a strange grin.

"Is that so?" Deva Path Pain did not stop walking and continued forward. "Then come to the Land of Rain after you finish your mission.
