"How long does it take to get to Azure Wave City from here?" Lin Qin suddenly asked.
Aileen made an estimate. "If everything goes well, it will take about two and a half months. We need to get to Black Stone City first, and then find a caravan to go with us."
"Be careful when traveling alone." Lin Qin said, "The Cold Jade Marrow you have on you is very precious."
"I will pay attention." Aileen took out a blue jade pendant from his arms, "This is for you."
The jade pendant is completely blue, engraved with water ripples, and in the center is a petrel spreading its wings.
"This is our Hawk Family's token." Aileen explained, "If you pass by Azure Wave City in the future, you can use this to find me."
Lin Qin took the jade pendant, his tentacles were warm, and he could feel the Water Element magic power contained in it.
"I'll put it away."
"Well..." Aileen hesitated, "How long are you going to Arctic Ice Plains?"
"Not sure." Lin Qin shook his head, "It could be a few months or a few years. It depends on the progress of cultivation."
"A few years..." Aileen murmured, then cheered up, "It doesn't matter, I know where you are anyway. When I break through level nine, I will go to Arctic Ice Plains to find you."
Lin Qin looked at her. "The ice field is very dangerous."
"So I have to become stronger before I can go." Aileen said with a smile, "This is a promise. When I become a ninth-level magician, I will go to Arctic Ice Plains to find you."
"It's up to you." Lin Qin took the jade pendant into his arms, "But I may not be in the ice field by then."
"Then remember to leave a mark for me." Aileen said, "For example, carve a symbol somewhere that only we know."
Lin Qin thought for a moment, "Okay."
Aileen took out a small cloth bag from his backpack. "These are emergency medicinal materials. You can take them with you. Arctic Ice Plains can't find these."
Lin Qin took the bag. "Thank you."
The two fell into silence again. The sun shined on the ground through the gaps in the leaves, forming mottled light and shadow.
"Then..." Aileen took a deep breath, "Let's stop here."
Lin Qin nodded. "Take care."
"You too." Aileen looked at him, "Be careful. I heard that Arctic Ice Plains has very scary monsters and some mysterious ancient ruins."
"I'll pay attention."
Aileen glanced at Lin Qin one last time, then turned and walked towards the southeast path. She walked a few steps and then looked back:
"Lin Qin, I am very happy during this time."
Lin Qin just nodded.
Aileen cast Wind Riding Technique, and the figure gradually moved away, and finally disappeared deep into the woods.
Lin Qin stood there until he could no longer feel Aileen's breath. He looked down at the medicinal bag in his hand and put it away carefully.
He turned to the path to the north, his eyes becoming focused and sharp. Saint Realm-level perception was fully developed, and all the disturbances within hundreds of meters around him were extremely clear.
"It's time to go."
He walked towards the north.
Along the way, he encountered several groups of adventurers. After sensing the powerful aura of Lin Qin, those people consciously moved out of the way and did not dare to disturb him.
At dusk, Lin Qin was already nearly a hundred kilometers away from the valley. He found a cave to spend the night and put up a simple warning barrier at the entrance of the cave.
He took out the jade pendant given by Aileen and played with it in his hand. The jade pendant glowed with a soft blue light under the moonlight, and the petrel carvings on it were lifelike.
"Hawk Family...Azure Wave City..."
He put away the jade pendant and began his daily practice every night.
In the early morning of the next day, Lin Qin continued to travel north. The farther north, the sparser the vegetation, and the temperature gradually dropped. Occasionally, some cold-resistant monsters could be seen spying in the distance, but they did not dare to approach.
Passing through a small town on the way, Lin Qin went in to replenish some necessities. Most of the residents in the town were wrapped in thick fur clothes and cast curious glances at Lin Qin's thin clothing.
"Is this gentleman going north?" the grocery store owner asked while packing the goods.
"Hmm."
"It will be desolate if you go further north." The boss kindly reminded, "I heard that the north is not peaceful recently, and some adventurers have disappeared there."
"Thanks for letting me know." Lin Qin paid the money, picked up the package and left.
Walking out of the town, the sky in the north looked particularly gloomy. The biting cold wind blew sand and dust into our faces, and ordinary pedestrians couldn't even open their eyes here.
Lin Qin's body surface glowed with a faint earthy yellow light, isolating the wind and sand. He looked up at the gloomy sky and continued to move forward.
His figure gradually became smaller in the vast northern wasteland, and finally turned into a black dot and disappeared on the horizon.
