When the second quarter began, Tang Tian and Kobe were still on the court.
The fans egged Tang Tian on to go at Kobe again, but he did not. Instead, he focused on organizing the offense.
If this had been an NBA game, he definitely would have kept targeting Kobe.
But now they were all retired legends, and Kobe had been retired even longer than he had. The Celebrity Game was just for entertainment anyway.
Even so, the International Team held firmly onto its lead and went into halftime ahead by as many as 15 points.
Tang Tian played less than ten minutes in the first half and still put up 17 points and 3 assists, a Game High Score.
The phrase a small test of skill truly suited him perfectly.
In the second half, Nash put Tang Tian into the starting lineup.
With that tactical deployment, Nash completely outcoached Kenny Smith.
Tang Tian was clearly one, perhaps even two tiers above everyone else on the court, and he led the International Team in rapidly extending the lead to 20 points.
It was during this stretch that a very interesting scene occurred.
Tang Tian got Jordan on a mismatch in the frontcourt, and a change-of-direction drive sent the old master stumbling to the floor.
The crowd erupted in teasing cheers.
But Tang Tian stopped his attack, holding the ball in one hand as he reached out with the other to pull Jordan up from the floor.
Jordan smiled at Tang Tian. At that moment, he felt Tang Tian deserved the title of Number One Player in History.
The arena erupted in cheers and applause.
First, he had passed on attacking Kobe. Now, he had given up a scoring chance to help Jordan up.
Because it was an exhibition game, Tang
