The Cooked Duck Flew Away? (Fourth Update!)

After three-way negotiations, all three teams added some draft picks to the deal, finally making the trade happen.

The Pelicans sent out Gordon and a future Second-Round Draft Pick, receiving Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Harris, and a $10 million Trade Exception from the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers sent out Joe Harris, a 2016 First-Round Draft Pick, and a $10 million Trade Exception, receiving Thaddeus Young and the Nets' 2016 Second-Round Draft Pick.

The Nets sent out Thaddeus Young and Bogdanovic, receiving Gordon, the Cavaliers' 2016 First-Round Draft Pick, and a future Second-Round Draft Pick from the Pelicans.

Because Young's extension with the Nets could not be signed until after July 1, this Three-Team Trade was still only a verbal agreement.

But with a deal like this, all that remained was the official announcement. There was basically no chance of anything changing.

The Pelicans' roster had originally left little room for movement, but this trade significantly improved it.
