UConn's offense: Walker drove to the basket but missed. On the way back, San Diego State launched a Defensive Counterattack, and Franklin's drive drew a shooting foul from Lamb.
Two free throw opportunities.
"Can I jump for Offensive Rebounds?" Majuk asked Tang Tian during the dead ball period.
Majuk was worried that he would make a mistake on the court and get subbed out, so he was being especially cautious.
Tang Tian smiled and nodded. Every offensive rebound meant another possession, so there was no downside to it.
Franklin made both free throws. The gap remained at three points, and the game was still deadlocked.
Walker drove from the frontcourt but was sealed off by Leonard with no opening. He dribbled back out as more than half the Offensive Time slipped away.
In a stalemate like this, it came down to who could make the first push.
Tang Tian set a screen for Lamb. Lamb ran free with a sliver of space, took Walker's pass, and pulled up for a Stop and Pop Jumper over the opposing Power Forward.
Bang!
The angle and touch were both excellent, but he was a little unlucky. The ball hit the inside of the rim and bounced high into the air.
Wright boxed out Majuk, while Leonard reached out with his big hand, ready to secure the Defensive Rebound.
But at that moment, Majuk somehow rose up from behind Wright and snatched the rebound before Leonard could get to it!
All he could do was jump, but his jumping ability was elite!
Majuk grabbed the offensive rebound, then flicked the ball out to Lamb.
His temperament really was great. Other than jumping, if Tang Tian did not tell him to do anything else, he truly had no desire even to look at the basket.
