Durant's Decision

"F*ck!"

Durant cursed sharply in the locker room.

Just when his teammates thought he was about to smash his phone again, surprisingly, that was all he did—curse once.

Westbrook was at the press conference right now, though, so no one dared provoke him.

Durant grabbed his backpack and walked straight out of the locker room.

After leaving the arena, he neither boarded the team bus nor took a cab back to the hotel. Instead, hood up and backpack slung over his shoulders, he wandered the streets alone without any destination.

A blast of cold wind swept past, and he tugged at his collar.

New Orleans was a damn awful place!

It was only mid-March, with spring having just arrived. The nights were still fairly cold, and New Orleans's humid climate made the damp chill even more unbearable.

"Kevin? Are you Kevin?! Oh my God!"

As he walked, a woman coming toward him recognized him and cried out excitedly.

Durant ignored her and kept walking.

"Wait, Kevin! I'm your fan—a die-hard fan!"

She chased after Durant.

"Can you give me an autograph?"

Most people in New Orleans were Tang Tian's fans now. It was genuinely rare to run into a Durant fan here.

But Durant was in a terrible mood. After glancing back at her, he continued on his way.

The woman looked disappointed, but perhaps she knew he was upset after losing, so she did not keep following him.

"I don't want die alone..."

Durant's phone rang in his pocket. His ringtone was Scarlett's cover of "Aging Too Soon," an insert song from Journey Through Ice.

He checked the caller ID and saw that it was Westbrook.

After hesitating for a moment, he silenced it and slipped the phone back into his pocket.

He really wanted some peace and quiet,
