Appearance
Ishizaki is sturdily built and carries a conspicuously rebellious, hostile demeanor. He is usually accompanied by several similarly intimidating Class C boys. 3
- Broad, physically powerful build. 3 21
- Habitually wears a malicious grin or openly aggressive expression. 3 6 39
- Uses an imposing posture—closing distance, cracking his knuckles, and looming over targets—to intimidate them. 6 15
Personality
Ishizaki is aggressive, impatient, and highly conscious of dominance. He routinely uses threats, public humiliation, and violence against students he judges unable to resist, including Onodera and Airi Sakura. 10 11 30
His hostility toward Ayanokoji Yuefeng intensifies after Yuefeng gains Ryuen's attention, enters the Special Project Research Group, and becomes closer to Hiyori Shiina. Ishizaki views Yuefeng's growing standing as a threat to his own place in Class C's militant faction. 23 29
Despite his bravado, Ishizaki is cautious when consequences could reach Ryuen or the school authorities. He abandons confrontations when school regulations, Ibuki Mio, or Yuefeng's recording of his crimes leave him at a disadvantage. 11 31 40
Abilities & Skills
Physical Strength
Ishizaki relies on size, force, and aggression rather than technical fighting skill.
- Forced his way through the Obstacle Relay's net and tire obstacles, overtaking two runners before reaching the handoff zone. 21
- Throws heavy, forceful punches and attempts to overwhelm opponents through direct pressure. 30 40
- Can lead and intimidate multiple lackeys in confrontations. 29 30
- His attacks become predictable against Yuefeng's Slow Motion perception, allowing Yuefeng to evade and counter him. 30 40
- Backs down before Ibuki Mio, whose combat ability he and his group fear. 31
Intimidation and Coercion
Ishizaki uses threats to impose informal “rules” around Class C and force compliance from weaker students.
- Warned Yuefeng to stay away from Hiyori Shiina, threatening violence if he did not comply. 6
- Pressured Onodera to cheat during an exam. 10 11
- Harassed Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in a corridor with several lackeys, but withdrew when confronted with the risk of violating school rules. 15
- Targeted Airi Sakura because of her vulnerability and her perceived connection to Yuefeng. 29 30
Point Extortion
Ishizaki runs private “protection” transactions, demanding points from students in exchange for dealing with their problems.
- Accepted points from frightened students of another class in return for “protection” and promised continued safety in exchange for monthly payments. 38
- Intended to expand this operation to students in Classes B and D. 38
- Claimed he could disguise payments as voluntary loans and his intervention as private conflict mediation. 38
- Yuefeng secretly recorded Ishizaki discussing both the extortion scheme and plans to frame Yuefeng. 38 39
Sabotage
Ishizaki is willing to disguise attacks as accidents when direct violence would be risky.
- During the Sports Festival's Obstacle Relay, he faked a handoff, deliberately stumbled toward Yuefeng, and swung the baton at Yuefeng's wrist and face. 21
- The attack injured Yuefeng's forearm, though Yuefeng seized the baton and continued running. 21
- The failed sabotage damaged Ishizaki's standing with Ryuen and contributed to his increasingly reckless behavior. 22 23
Relationships
- Ryuen Kakeru — Class C leader whom Ishizaki serves obediently. Ishizaki fears Ryuen's disapproval, particularly when his actions risk damaging Class C's interests or exposing him to punishment. 11 23 45
- Ayanokoji Yuefeng — Primary rival and target of Ishizaki's resentment. Their conflict escalates from intimidation and relay sabotage to Ishizaki's failed attempt to frame Yuefeng; Yuefeng ultimately defeats and blackmails him with a recording. 6 21 29 38 40
- Shiina Hiyori — Ishizaki initially orders Yuefeng to stay away from her and later considers using her in a staged “accident” to frame Yuefeng. 6 38
- Sakura Airi — A Class D student Ishizaki targets to provoke Yuefeng. He and his lackeys steal her belongings, inspect her phone, and attempt to take her cloth bag. 29 30
- Ibuki Mio — A fellow Class C student who intervenes when Ishizaki corners Yuefeng and forces him to retreat by threatening escalation to the Public Morals Committee. 31
- Ayanokoji Kiyotaka — Opposed Ishizaki's coercion of Onodera and later avoided his attempted assault in the corridor through knowledge of school rules. 11 15
- Unnamed lackeys — Follow Ishizaki's orders in harassment, attempted assaults, and point extortion. 6 30 38
Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Class C Hostility
Ishizaki is introduced as a hostile Class C student seated near Ryuen. He immediately takes an interest in Yuefeng's expensive-looking attire and later joins petty fouls against him during PE. 3 4
After seeing Yuefeng interact with Hiyori, Ishizaki warns him to stay away from her. He subsequently attempts to coerce Onodera into cheating, but Hiyori and Kiyotaka's use of school rules prevents the incident from escalating. 6 10 11
Sports Festival Sabotage
Ishizaki recruits Yuefeng for Class C's Obstacle Relay team, then uses the handoff to stage an attack disguised as an accident. Yuefeng avoids the worst of the strike, takes the baton, and finishes the race despite a serious arm injury. 15 21
The failed attack leaves Ishizaki embarrassed before Ryuen and more wary of Yuefeng, though his resentment remains. 21 22
Escalation Against Yuefeng and Airi
Jealous of Yuefeng's rising value to Ryuen and his research-group selection, Ishizaki chooses Airi as a vulnerable proxy target. He and his lackeys bully her in the garden, prompting Yuefeng to intervene. 29 30
Ishizaki nearly overwhelms Yuefeng with his group, but Ibuki arrives and drives them away. The incident leads Yuefeng to take self-defense training more seriously. 31 32
Extortion Scheme and Defeat
Ishizaki expands his activities into point extortion, collecting “protection money” from students of other classes. He also plots to stage accidents involving Airi and Hiyori, then blame Yuefeng. 36 38
Yuefeng records the scheme and confronts Ishizaki in an alley. After Yuefeng defeats Ishizaki and his lackeys, he uses the recording to force Ishizaki to leave Yuefeng, Airi, and Hiyori alone. 39 40
Uninhabited Island Exam Preparation
Following the alley confrontation, Ishizaki remains under Ryuen's command and helps organize Class C's supplies and manual-labor groups for the Uninhabited Island Exam. However, he avoids Yuefeng, showing lingering fear of both the fight and the recording. 45 46 47
Trivia
- Ishizaki's failed relay attack is the direct cause of Yuefeng's severe muscle strain and arm injury. 21 22
- His resentment toward Yuefeng is tied not only to personal defeat, but also to Yuefeng displacing him in Ryuen's assessment of who is useful to Class C. 23 29
- He presents himself as a Class C “second-in-command” behind Ryuen, but his gaze still avoids Yuefeng by the time of the island-exam departure. 47
