"Kamigami, are you trying to become some kind of shameless womanizer by learning from me?"
Ichinose put her hands on her hips, trying to correct the boy's aspirations.
"What are you talking about? I'm not some scumbag who toys with people's feelings. I want to become their male best friend. A male best friend is a male friend, the kind that's more than a friend but less than a lover."
Kamigami Haruo said righteously.
"That sounds even worse. Does that mean you want a legitimate excuse to toy with girls' feelings without taking responsibility? That way of thinking is awful."
Seeing the beauty across from him narrow her eyes, clearly about to launch into a lengthy lecture, Kamigami hurriedly admitted his mistake.
"All right, all right. Under the oppressive might of Class B's goddess, I've decided to turn over a new leaf. I won't dare do it again."
"Besides, Ichinose, it's almost dinner time. You can cook, right? Let's buy some ingredients and make something when we get back."
Kamigami checked the time on his phone and spoke to Ichinose.
"Knowing how to correct your mistakes makes you a good boy. In that case, I'll show you a little of what I can do! But Kamigami, your kitchen utensils are all complete, right?"
Ichinose spoke with a confident look.
"Yes, they're complete. Probably. Hahaha."
Kamigami thought that although he did not have any, someone else surely would.
After hanging out for a while, the two headed to the supermarket to buy ingredients.
On the way back to the dormitory, they passed the convenience store and went by that surveillance blind spot he had not checked in a long time.
Finally remembering it, Kamigami immediately tripped over his own feet and successfully fell into the bushes.
"Kamigami, are you okay? Get up quickly. Are you hurt anywhere? Let me see."
"Don't worry, Ichinose. I'm fine."
After signaling to Ichinose that he was all right, he got up, patted his backside, and looked toward where he had fallen. Then, pretending to be surprised, he spoke loudly enough for everyone within five meters to hear.
"Wow? Where did these wild drinks come from? Someone must have dropped them. Hmm... since nobody wants them, in the spirit of not wasting things, I'll dispose of you."
He then picked up the two cans of drinks, whose numbers had noticeably declined since the first week, and put them into the shopping bag.
He turned and glanced at the spot where infrared light was visible now that it had gotten darker, then grabbed the stunned Ichinose and left.
On the way.
"Kamigami, d-don't tell me those were left there by that thief?"
"I told her to leave them there. It satisfies her urge and saves me money too. But judging by the number of drinks, she must have been discovered."
"B-but what if the clerk gets scolded by the manager and has money deducted from their pay?"
Hearing that her tone was still fairly calm, Kamigami nodded approvingly.
"Let me ask you something first. Would you blame me?"
"I believe in Kamigami's character. You wouldn't persecute innocent people."
"That's good, then. The person who knows she shoplifted is the Chairman's daughter, the daughter of the school's owner. Not only did she not stop her, she even let her keep doing it. So don't worry about anyone being held accountable over this."
"I see. Then that's a relief."
Ichinose turned to Kamigami and smiled.
Kamigami nodded with an expression that said she was teachable.
That evening, outside Room 1201.
"You spent the entire afternoon with Ichinose?"
"Uh, well, I had to look after Ichinose's feelings, so I spent the afternoon with her."
"Is that so?"
Hearing the unfamiliar tone in her voice, Kamigami hurriedly tried to patch things up.
"It's your fault for going back to study. I was planning to invite you too."
Ichinose looked awkwardly at Kamigami, who was under Horikita Suzune's murderous gaze.
Kamigami took a deep breath, made sure he was standing straight, then bent from the waist into a perfect ninety-degree bow toward Horikita Suzune.
"Please, Horikita-san, I'm begging you. This is the request of a lifetime."
"Your lifetime is truly worthless, Kamigami Haruo. Since it's so worthless, let me put an end to your worthless life."
Look at that—such chilling words coming from that pretty mouth.
"Eh? Horikita, murder is against the law, you know. I reject violence."
Sensing that Kamigami was about to leave this beautiful world, Ichinose hurriedly tried to stop her.
"Since Horikita-san refuses, then let me commit seppuku with your knife. Let me in, I need a knife to commit seppuku."
Speechless beyond measure, Horikita Suzune stepped aside and let the two enter.
"Excuse me."
Being a polite girl, Ichinose awkwardly said that as she entered the room.
Meanwhile, Kamigami picked up the shopping bag he had set down before bowing and swaggered into the room.
After closing the door, Horikita looked at Kamigami, who acted as if he had returned to his own home, and asked.
"Not committing seppuku anymore?"
"No. It'd be bad if I dirtied Horikita-san's room."
"You could commit seppuku outside the door."
"Let's talk about that later. I'm hungry right now, so I don't have the strength to commit seppuku. I'll do it after eating."
Kamigami waved his hand and spoke again.
"Don't sulk. I bought lots and lots of delicious food, and I even brought you a beautiful Michelin three-star chef."
Kamigami looked at Ichinose.
"Please take care of me, Horikita."
Ichinose, who had been smiling because of their bickering, composed herself and spoke modestly.
Seeing the busy Ichinose, Horikita Suzune silently went over to help as well, thinking that she was the host.
"Horikita-san, lend me your computer."
Kamigami looked at the schedule posted on the wall and said that to Horikita Suzune.
"Mm."
After a long while.
"Kamigami, dinner's ready."
After setting the dishes on the table, Ichinose washed her hands and called out to Kamigami.
After taking off the only apron, Horikita Suzune poured a cup of the tea Kamigami had left behind for herself and the other two.
"Let's eat." ×2
"This is the happiest moment of my life."
Kamigami spoke with some emotion, looking just like a middle-aged man surrounded by maids at a maid café.
"Next time, I'll cook for you two."
Kamigami suddenly said something utterly mood-killing during the meal.
Horikita Suzune silently stopped chewing, then put down her rice bowl, ready to give the person who had ruined her appetite a loving rebuke. However, someone spoke before she could.
"Eh? Really? I'll look forward to it."
"No, I advise you not to look forward to it, Ichinose. It'll be a nightmare. Unless you have some unusual fetish, in which case, forget I said anything."
Horikita Suzune spoke with a disgusted expression.
"Hahaha... it can't be that bad, right? You agree, don't you, Kamigami? Say something."
Seeing Ichinose's expectant look, Kamigami guiltily rubbed his nose. Then he thought, Even if I can't cook, I can learn, and immediately regained his confidence.
"Then wait and see. All I can say is that the flavor will definitely be authentic."
After saying that, Kamigami wore an expression as if he alone reigned supreme under heaven.
After cleaning up, Horikita Suzune saw the two off at the door.
When they parted in the elevator, Kamigami sent Ichinose a PDF and added.
"I used Horikita-san's computer to make an exercise schedule just now. If you don't want to let others down, don't forget to follow it."
