Playing with the Nirvana Realm

Ning Ye's greatest strengths were the Dao of Light and the Dao of Illusion, and Langya Pavilion happened to excel in both as well.

The most famous technique of its Dao of Light was the Annihilation Divine Light, whose destructive power was exceptionally fierce.

Although Ning Ye's Dao of Light had steadily improved through years of cultivation, its destructive power was, at its root, still his weakest aspect.

Yet after entering Langya Pavilion, he had devoted himself to cultivation and gained considerable mastery over the Annihilation Divine Light.

The Annihilation Divine Light was a divine ability, however, and with his current cultivation, he could not wield it easily. He still needed the power of a formation.

For that very reason, the formation he had arranged appeared to be an illusion but concealed slaughter within it, possessing only the power for a single strike.

That single strike could not kill a Nirvana Realm cultivator. He needed to borrow every possible advantage to weaken his opponent.

Thus, he first used illusions to lure the two men in, deceiving Wudaozi into lowering his guard. Then he used the Light-Seeding Technique to destroy Wudaozi's physical body, followed by the words of a great power to beguile him into the core of the formation, where he entered the gate of death himself. Finally, he unleashed the Annihilation Divine Light and eradicated him in one stroke.

It could be said that he had borrowed heaven's timing, earth's advantage, and human harmony alike, pushing both the Dao of Illusion and the Dao of Light to their utmost limits to achieve this result.

But after accomplishing this, Ning Ye truly had no other means left—all his preparations, including the formation, had been exhausted. The grand formation had now broken, leaving Red Cloud and him in a one-on-one confrontation.
