Ye's way of life was simple.
Battle, slaughter, feeding.
Demons had no need to cultivate; feeding was the best cultivation.
But Ye was different from other demons. He always felt that he should not be content with the comfortable circumstances before him.
He should have greater ambitions.
He had been born different from the rest, and his future was destined to be different as well.
With that in mind, Ye began actively exploring outward.
The black mountains stretched without end. Demons possessed scant wisdom and never named their territories.
They did not even possess a concept of time.
Ye did not know how long he had spent here. The sky was forever black; there were no sunsets or moonrises, no concept of days or years—strange, why did I know that?

Slaughter and growth were the only things worth considering.
Unlike the other demons, Ye had been gifted with powerful intelligence.
So he rarely relied on brute force.
Most of the time, he would lie quietly in the grass, waiting for some confused demon to pass by before launching a surprise attack from behind. He used his claws to swiftly slice open the weakest part of his target's body, inflicting fatal damage.
But he did not find that satisfying.
I am an intelligent demon. I should use smarter methods.
He thought.
In the black mountain region, an adult demon was approaching from afar.
Its thick nostrils flared as it sniffed at the sulfur in the air. Its heavy footsteps thundered against the ground, while the enormous chained tail behind it swept
