History

South Sea origins and destruction

The Han Clan traces its lineage back 11,732 years to the South Sea cultivation world. At its height, it was one of the three great South Sea cultivation families, with ten Nascent Soul cultivators, more than 100 Golden Core cultivators, 100,000 cultivators, over 10,000 islands, three secret realms, and more than 30 spirit stone mines. Its branch originated from Thousand Puppet Hall and specialized in puppet crafting and artifact refinement 452.

After several calamities weakened the clan, the Myriad Dharma Sect exterminated its main lineage. Surviving clansmen fled from the South Sea to the East Sea, concealing their identity because their enemies could still pursue them if the truth became known 350 452.

Establishment in the East Sea

More than 600 years before the story’s opening, the survivors migrated to the Red Algae Archipelago. At that time, they had fewer than 50 cultivators and tens of thousands of mortals; by Chapter 1, they controlled 22 islands and governed over 400,000 mortals 1.

The clan’s early leadership emphasized survival, resource accumulation, and gradual expansion. Han Zhangxiang, Han Daojing, and Han Deling were among the few Foundation Establishment cultivators who carried much of the clan’s defense, administration, commerce, and training responsibilities 450.

Rise through the Inner and Outer Seas

The clan expanded its shops, trained specialists, cultivated Golden Core candidates, and seized opportunities created by wars and beast tides. After Han Zhangxiang and Han Changming entered the Golden Core Realm, the clan acquired 12 islands from the Chen Clan and became the strongest cultivation clan within 100,000 kilometers 459.

It later established itself on Purple Moon Island in the Outer Sea, developed businesses and monster-hunting operations, and absorbed mortals and cultivators into its population 553. Its expansion continued through territorial wars, alliances, and resource acquisition, including the campaign against the Lu Clan 603 604 606.

Reunification and restoration

The Han Clan of Red Shrimp Island eventually confirmed that it shared a lineage with the Han Clan of Golden Flood Dragon Island, both descending from the Han Clan of Nine Dragon Island. Han Zhangxiang and Han Chaoyang agreed to keep this connection secret while their clans remained separate for safety 750.

After the Myriad Dharma Sect was destroyed, the branches formally rebuilt the Han Clan of Nine Dragon Island. The clansmen swore unity, adopted new shared generation names for future descendants, and standardized garments embroidered with nine miniature flood dragons 1337.
