After lying on the bed for quite a while to recover, Kushida Kikyo slowly sat up.

She gathered her disheveled collar and looked toward Uesugi Hara, who sat calmly by the table.

Uesugi Hara acted as though nothing had happened, his expression so indifferent that it irritated her.

Her face alternated between pale and flushed, shame and anger churning within her. In the end, she merely snorted heavily, stormed out without a word, and slammed the door behind her.

Uesugi Hara only glanced up at the sound of the door closing before looking away again. He truly did not understand the mindset of people like Kushida Kikyo, who "offered themselves up," but he had no time to dwell on it right now—there were more important matters awaiting him that afternoon.

"Come in." Horikita Manabu's steady voice came from inside.

Uesugi Hara pushed the door open and entered. The office was remarkably spacious, with only Horikita Manabu seated behind the desk. Tachibana Akane stood at his side, pen in hand as she recorded something.

"Horikita President, such a large Student Council, yet there are only the two of you here today?" Uesugi Hara asked curiously, his gaze sweeping over the other empty workstations.

"It is vacation now, and the workload is not substantial. There is no need for everyone to be on duty." Horikita Manabu did not even raise his head. His fingers continued flipping briskly through the documents on his desk, while his pen paused now and then to leave precise annotations on the pages.
