After settling things with Morishita Ai, Uesugi Hara took out his Terminal to contact Kamuro Masumi. He checked the time—it was just about mealtime.
"Kamuro, come to the shopping district. Your bro's treating you to a good meal."
At the other end of the shopping district, Kamuro Masumi was sitting at an outdoor café, having afternoon tea with Sakayanagi Arisu. She rested her chin on one hand, her gaze somewhat unfocused. Clearly, her mind was not on the exquisite desserts in front of her.
"Kamuro, someone sent you a message." Sakayanagi Arisu gently swayed the silver spoon in her hand, her tone faintly casual.
Kamuro Masumi came back to her senses, picked up the Terminal on the table, and opened it. Her brows immediately furrowed.
Uesugi Hara was inviting her to dinner? Did the sun set in the east today?
Why was he suddenly being so nice? This was like a weasel paying respects to a chicken—he definitely had bad intentions.
"Did something happen?" Seeing that something was off with her expression, Sakayanagi Arisu put down her spoon and asked casually.
"It's nothing. Uesugi said he's treating me to dinner." Kamuro Masumi answered honestly without thinking much of it.
"Oh?" The smile in Sakayanagi Arisu's eyes deepened. "Then go." Without asking whether Kamuro Masumi wanted to go, she directly arranged their next destination for them.
But Kamuro Masumi failed to catch the implication at all. Instead, she frowned and complained, "Sakayanagi, do you think Uesugi is the kind of person who'd voluntarily treat someone to a meal? I feel like he's plotting something."
"Kamuro, are you scared?" Sakayanagi Arisu provoked her.
"What am I afraid of?!" Kamuro Masumi immediately retorted. "It's just a meal. It's not like he can eat me."
"Since you're not afraid, what are you hesitating for?"
