The pink-haired angel bowed slightly and handed Dongfang Yi the little gift she had just bought.
She smiled and replied, "Mm, the interview's over. Sorry to bother you, Dongfang."
"How could this be a bother? For a chef, there's nothing more gratifying than having friends try the food he's made."
Dongfang Yi was genuinely happy.
Of course, if that little incident hadn't just happened, he might have been even happier, instead of feeling guilty like he did now.
He stepped back to clear the way. "Come on in, Ichinose."
"Mm, then I'll gladly accept your invitation."
Ichinose Honami smiled back, then stepped inside.
She walked to the center of the room and lightly sniffed the air. "Is Sakura here?"
Your nose is really sharp! Dongfang Yi thought to himself.
"She just went back. She said she'd come over again later. Want to try some ribs first?"
"No, I'll wait until everyone's here so we can all try them together." Ichinose sat down in a chair. "Sneaking a taste isn't good behavior."

Dongfang Yi's mouth twitched slightly. "Then let's start with some fruit."
He opened the fridge and took out a pile of fruit he'd gotten for free.
"Huh? Dongfang, did you buy all this fruit? Wouldn't spending so many points be a bit wasteful?" Ichinose asked curiously.
After all, everyone had been given one hundred thousand points. That much was common knowledge. And while some things at school cost less than they did outside, they weren't exactly cheap.
"It's not wasteful. I got it for free from the café. Yours truly is Palette's head barista and head pastry chef." Dongfang Yi chuckled. "The manager thinks pretty highly of me, so I'm allowed to take a little as a reward."
