Suzune enters Advanced Nurturing High School alongside her younger brother, Horikita Etsuka. Although both siblings possess elite grades, she is assigned to Class 1-D while Etsuka enters Class 1-B; the assignment leaves her questioning why she was placed in the lowest-ranked class. 2

She identifies Class C's provocation strategy and relays a warning to Class D, helping prevent Sudo from immediately falling into Ryuen's trap. 13 14

Sudo Incident

Suzune works with Hirata to follow Sudo when Class C lures him into a fight. She attempts to document the encounter and is prepared to intervene physically when the confrontation escalates. 19

Later, during the study-group dispute, Suzune refuses to bend under Sudo's aggression even as he grabs her by the collar. Etsuka intervenes, pressures Sudo to apologize, and Suzune acknowledges that her own wording had been harsh. 28 29
