Paragon admits defeat
The Laboratory Plane was filled with dense darkness. Countless birds, beasts, and aquatic creatures lived there. They were all descendants of divine beasts, collected by Lincoln over the past ten million years.
At the center of the plane stood a massive hemisphere. Three vast circular walls surrounded it, enclosing the birds and beasts in separate pens. Their eyes revealed their longing for freedom. Inside the hemisphere were many laboratories. In one filled with containers, a green-haired man with freely floating hair was using divine power to refine a massive cauldron before him. All kinds of crystals floated inside, dissolving and blending together as they produced countless bubbles and clouds of mist. Gradually, an elusive, strange aura began to emanate from them.
Just then, a white-browed figure approached. The green-haired man sensed him but kept his attention fixed on the reaction inside the cauldron. Without looking up, he said, "Chief God, our tests are progressing quickly. I believe we'll be able to develop an Awakening Pool crystal that works on your descendants in less than five thousand years."
"As expected of a Paragon." Lincoln's eyes lit up with delight. He strode over to look inside the cauldron and said with a smile, "Roman, my ten million years of research can't compare to your progress over a thousand years."
Roman's lips curled upward, betraying his satisfaction. Their proudest achievement was reaching a height that many Chief Gods had never attained. He was certainly entitled to the praise of a Chief God.
Roman continued refining the Talent Crystal without hurry, and Lincoln was in no rush either. He waited quietly at his side. Day and night did not exist in the Laboratory Divine Plane. About half a day passed before Roman finally stopped.
