"If we're setting everything aside for now, then what are we talking about?" Professor Lily blinked innocently.
Professor Kazel flushed. "We have now confirmed not only the existence of the second consciousness, but also found Jeffrey's laboratory. With both points corroborating each other, I can confirm that Jeffrey was not lying. He never cultivated a complete member of the Demon Race. That 'Brain Fluid Demon' was not cultivated by him."
"In other words, there is a third person," Professor Sylph concluded.
Professor Kazel nodded:
The professors did not question him further at this time. They left the hidden passage directly and returned to the infirmary.

The professors placed the items they had packed into the ward, then returned Angus Jeffrey to his bed.
