That elf student had been only half-convinced at the time. But after returning to the tower, he heard the same information from another elf, which finally made him believe it completely.
The other elf student had heard it from a group of Saint Marian Academy students huddled together gossiping.
In short, the channels through which the two had obtained the information were actually very similar. "Can you describe what those people looked like?" Professor Sylph asked.
