Host Judy immediately brought up the projection and announced loudly, "The contestant Saint Marian Academy has sent for the third duel... is the 'Son of the Hero,' White God!"
The applause outside the arena instantly intensified. A man's reputation was like a tree's shadow.
No matter what, the "Hero," Bright God, had indeed left White with many positive influences.
Olivia Blood, watching the match from within the Ring Belt, immediately tensed up.
"White is about to take the field," Hephaestus Doragon reminded her with a smile. Olivia nodded and said, "I know."
But Judy immediately continued, "Sky Magic Guidance Academy's contestant for the third duel is Tess!"
"Tess!" Olivia's expression changed at once.
Of course, she knew this "Jade Marrow Clan" member. Hephaestus's True Dragon Eye had identified Tess's race at a glance.
"This is not a good opponent," Hephaestus said.
Olivia's expression shifted, but she finally sighed and regained her composure. "He has to go through hardship eventually. We walked that same path back then."
"You really do take things in stride," Hephaestus said.
Olivia smiled. "I've simply been through more. My mindset has settled."
The more one understood the Jade Marrow Clan, the less optimistic one became about this duel. Olivia had once heard Bright God speak of this race.
If the "Hero" was a sword, then the Jade Marrow Clan was a shield—a shield that could Devour light!
It was not that the "Hero" could not break through the Jade Marrow Clan's shield. But the prerequisite was a "Holy Sword" that was not of the Light Attribute!
White still lacked experience. A single "Holy Sword" was not enough to turn him into a true "Hero."
Olivia could not help but begin making plans in secret.
